Anonymous FTP
iManager

You have full FTP access to your account. Use your favorite FTP program to connect to YOURDOMAIN with your username and password. (See the CGI page for some notes on uploading CGI programs.)

If you need an anonymous FTP site, that can be made available for the same rate as a regular account. Contact support@speedsoft.com to set it up.

If you use Microsoft Windows, we suggest WS-FTP, a fully functional shareware FTP program (although the upgrade is worth it if you are a webmaster). Download a trial version from our FTP site at ftp://ftp.speedsoft.com/pub/speedsoft/sources/ws_ftp32.exe. Connect to the official distribution site for the latest version or to purchase it at www.ipswitch.com.

Here are instructions for setting up WS_FTP for your account:

WS_FTP In the "Session Profile" window, click on "New", type in a name you can remember the session by in the "Profile Name" box. Here we have entered "My Speedsoft Account". Put the name of the server your account is on in the "Host Name" box (this is YOURDOMAIN for virtual hosting clients). Put "Automatic detect" in the "Host Type" box. Put your username in the "User ID" box. Put your password in the "Password" box. Remember that your password is case sensitive. Insure that "Save Password" and "Auto Save Config" are checked. In the "Remote Host" and "Local PC" boxes, you can put the directory names where you want the FTP to start in. It is suggested you leave the "Remote Host" box blank. Click on "OK".

WS_FTP The main window is pretty self-explanatory. Click on the files on the left you want to upload to your account. Use shift+left_mouse to select a range of files, use Ctrl+left_mouse to select multiple files. Click on the "->" symbol to upload the files. Make sure that you use "ASCII" method to transfer all text files like HTML and CGI script files. Use "Binary" method to transfer pictures such as .GIFs and .JPGs. To use the "Auto" option, you must configure which filename extensions are to be treated as ASCII by clicking on the "Options" button on the bottom and then clicking "Extensions". Enter all the filename extensions that should be transferred as ASCII, such as ".html", ".htm", ".txt", ".dat", ".shtml", ".pl", ".cgi", etc.
